A Guide to the Dinosaurs (both real & "made-up") appearing on Terra Nova
Most of Terra Nova takes place 85 million years ago in the middle of the Cretaceous period which ended some 20 million years after, with the mass extinction (K-T Event) of the Dinosaurs and many other prehistoric animals.
The Cretaceous was the apex of the Dinosaurs' reign on our planet and many new species, including the Tyrannosaurus Rex and the Triceratops appeared and dominated during this period. Small Mammals and flowering plants also developed and flourished during and after this period.
Many of the Dinosaurs on Terra Nova will be dinosaurs that actually existed, while others will be created by the writers with the help of consulting paleontologists. Below we'll try to list and document the characteristics, nicknames used by the Cast of the Dinosaurs of Terra Nova in the order of their first appearance on the show. Yes, even the "made-up" ones.

Carnos Large, horned Carnivore with a long tail and tiny arms. Two Carnotaurus attack Sixers as they made their way to the Terra Nova compound.

Slasher The Slasher can run 45mph and has colorful feathers and razor sharp tails which can slice a human in half.
